ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
All strength and conditioning sessions will take place at the Athlete Lab under the direction of Dillon Kelley, our Director of Sports Performance. All athletes will receive individualized training tailored to their specific needs and coordinated with their competition schedule in mind.

SPORT-SPECIFIC SKILL DEVELOPMENT
For hockey players, skill development sessions will be led by James Ryan, Head of Hockey Development, and our staff of highly experienced coaches. Efficient skating and Hockey IQ are two of the most important skills to develop for hockey players looking to advance to the next level, and will be major points of focus during each session. *For non-hockey athletes, we will work with you to find sport-specific skills coaches in the area.

MOBILITY TRAINING
To maximize athletic performance, an athlete must be able to move their body freely in its full range of motion and maximize strength. Mobility training has been proven to help athletes move more efficiently and promote injury prevention. The Athlete Academy's Mobility Program will feature an on-site yoga/mobility coach and guest coaches throughout the year.

MENTAL PERFORMANCE
Mental performance training will be led by Chris Palmer. Chris's goal is to transcend traditional sport by coaching, teaching, and training the development of a growth and positivity mindset. When things fall apart, we are always what we train daily to be. That's our vision - creating tough-as-nails athletes with courage, belief, confidence, and the ability to get back up when things get tough.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Our Leadership Development curriculum will consist of a variety of lessons taught by our staff, along with special guests and leaders in the sports industry, including Eric Kapitulik and his staff at The Program, a team-building and leadership development company. The goal is to develop great teammates and leaders in order to create world-class teams.

NUTRITION EDUCATION
All student-athletes attending the Athlete Academy will be educated by industry-leading experts on the benefits of proper nutrition, hydration, and sleep. A great diet cannot make an average athlete great, but a poor diet can make a great athlete average. Our goal will be to provide the understanding and foundation for our student-athletes to develop good habits that enhance their performance.
