ACADEMICS
The Athlete Academy has carefully structured its daily programming to maximize a student-athlete's/family’s need for a flexible schedule. Our structure accommodates both those who attend a traditional brick-and-mortar school, as well as various online platforms. Our Learning Lab space will be accessible to all students and will be open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily.
Student-athletes will integrate their academic school of choice with The Athlete Academy's programming. Those who attend a traditional brick-and-mortar school would need to seek a modified start time from their institution to be able to accommodate the Academy's developmental sessions. The Academy's daily structured programming window will be completed by 9:00 a.m. each day. The remaining program offerings are all available on a flexible schedule at the student-athlete's choice each day/week.
While the Athlete Academy provides our student-athletes total flexibility in choosing their academic school of choice, including attending any virtual school, we do have an alliance with the Michigan International Prep School (MIPS), which will staff our Learning Lab with teachers on-site that will be exclusively available to those student-athletes using their online platform. The Learning Lab will have additional Athlete Academy staff monitoring the usage of the facility to ensure the students are utilizing it as a productive, modern workspace. The staff will track and report attendance each week to the families.
Preferred Academic Partner
All Athlete Academy student-athletes (both online and traditional) will have access to the services of Tutor Plus, Inc. (at discounted rates as an Athlete Academy member), which offers the following services:

Advise on current school schedule arrangements.

Advise/Assist on accredited virtual school options including local, statewide, and national options.

Advise/Arrange academic support services tailored to individual or small-group needs.
Additional services such as Academic Tutoring, Standardized Test Prep, and College Advising are also available.
